I’ve tried to make granola many a time, and as many as I have tried to make crispy crunchy granola with the perfect little clusters….It’s just never worked. Even as I cover my eyes as to how much honey or oil I’ve added, ALWAYS ended up soggy.
But today, a single egg-white made all the difference, One single egg white changed my soggy granola into the perfect crispy crunchy oatmeal and now I’m never going back!!!
Ingredients: (all are totally optional!1!)
3 cups rolled oats
2 cups mixed nuts
2 cup raisins
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp honey
1 egg white
Directions:
Spread all granola ingredients other than honey and egg on a cookie sheet. Add egg white and mix until all the pieces are moist
Drizzle with honey and bake at 400F for 10-15 minutes until it is perfectly browned
